The studio is located in Easton, Maryland and offers comprehensive architectural services from site evaluation and project design thru bidding, construction contract administration and completion to commissioning and occupancy.
The studio's focus is on restoration, preservation and adaptive reuse of historic properties but is not limited as such. Projects in medical and health related facilities, libraries, municipal buildings, religious buildings, custom residential and multiple housing design are considered as time permits.
Personnel consists of Robert Arnouts, and his wife Ruth as administrative assistant. We have the ability to form a joint venture firm with Christiane DeJong, AIA, LEED, AP BD+C (Arnouts daughter) as a means of expanding staff and offering our clients a continuity of service in any circumstance. The principal Mr. Arnouts and Ms. DeJong are members of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and are certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, Mr. Arnouts holds licenses to practice architecture in the States of Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts and Christiane DeJong is licensed in Virginia.
Mr. Arnouts has served on the Talbot County Maryland Historic Commission and currently serves on the Town of Easton Maryland Historic District Commission, He was a charter member of the Town of Poughkeepsie NY Historic Commission, He is a member of Preservation Maryland, has served for over 30 years on the Dutchess Community College Architectural Advisory Committee in New York where he has also been employed by the College as an adjunct lecturer. Mr. Arnouts has been the recipient of the A.I.A.'s Architectural Award for Excellence in Design and has served on the Board of Directors of the Westchester/ Mid-Hudson New York Chapter of the AIA.
